Sonnets of Middle Earth

Here at the inn of dear Tolkien
sing elf and rivergolden,
healer, hobbit, dwarf and warg
swap poems new and olden.
Strike harp! Sing bard! Oh, how he'd thrill
to see all Middle Earth
here at the inn of dear Tolkien
in fellowship and mirth.

Poetry, in Tolkien's world, was an important part of everyday life.
From comic doggerel and walking songs to solemn dirges and sung history, there is verse everywhere you turn in Middle Earth.
So, too, at Westmarch. Silly and serious, short and long, there is something here for every taste.
